Nepal Association of Northern California, NANC, is a non-profit organization. NANC's primary aim is to preserve and promote Nepalese identity and culture among Nepalese, friends of Nepal, and those interested in Nepal. It also seeks to encourage cooperation, goodwill and mutual support among Nepalese residents of northern California.

It is our pleasure to announce that Nepal Association of Northern California ( NANC ) and Association of Nepalese in Americas ( ANA ) have reached an agreement to host the ANA convention 2009 at the Oakland Convention Center from July 1-5, 2009. The convener is Mr. Govind Shahi, founding member and ex-President of NANC. Mr. Sagar Koirala and Mr. Santosh Lama, Vice President and General Secretary of NANC respectively will represent us in the Convening Council as Co-conveners.Final decisions will be made by the Convening Council, which will flow through the Organizing Committee. This guarantees the interests of NANC. We request our community to participate and contribute to make this event a success.
