Nepal Association of Northern California
Invites you to an afternoon to meet
Nepali Cyclist Around the World
Please join us for an afternoon to hear the experiences and adventures of Mr. Puskar Shah, a cyclist from Nepal (www.thamel.com/puskar/), who has embarked on a 11 year journey to capture his dream of riding around the world on his bicycle, to spread the message of peace and hope for his country and the world.
Mr. Shah began his journey on November 29th, 1998 leaving home with only Rs. 100 given to him by his mother. He has no official sponsor and has been able to pursue his dream through the kindness and generosity of strangers that he meets along the way. When he was about to begin his journey, many people believed that such a feat was not possible and had surmised that he would get no farther than India. By the end of July 2002, he had already visited 51 countries. He is hoping to get his name in the Guinness Book of Records upon completion of his journey around the world.
Please feel free to bring your favorite food item and share it with us in this rare meeting with Mr. Shah.
